Interacting with Widgets

Widgets are the individual charts, tables, and cards that make up every Peak (a dashboard in ProfitPeak). You can add them from the widget library or by asking Sherpa, then filter, restyle, rearrange, export, or clone them to fit how you work.

Why do widgets matter?

A dashboard is only useful if the right numbers are front and center when you need them. Widgets let you shape each Peak around the decisions you actually make. Put a stock alert right beside sell-through, give your most important metric the most space, or turn a dense table into a quick visual you can scan in five seconds. You never need to file a request or wait on anyone to rebuild a report.

How do you add a widget to a Peak?

There are two ways, and both take less than a minute.

Browse the widget library. Select the library icon in the top right of your Peak. Search by name or topic. For example, "inventory" or "attribution" brings up the matching widgets. This works best when you know a standard view already exists.

Ask Sherpa. Select the Sherpa icon in the top right and describe what you want to see, like "Show me contribution profit by channel for the last 30 days." Sherpa (ProfitPeak's built-in AI analyst) builds the widget and adds it for you. This works best when you need something specific or custom.

How do you customize a widget?

Filter the data

Hover over the widget's name to see its filter options. Filters depend on the data behind each widget, so an inventory widget will offer different filters than an attribution widget.

Change how it's displayed

On the far right of the widget, you can switch between formats such as cards, charts, lists, tables, or a written insights summary. Match the format to the job. Tables work best for detail, cards and charts are quickest to read at a glance, and the insights view gives you a written explanation instead of a visual.

How do you arrange your layout?

Click and hold a widget to drag it somewhere else on the Peak. Drag its corners to make it bigger or smaller. A simple habit that helps: give your most important widgets the most space, and keep related ones side by side so you can read them together.

How do you export or reuse a widget?

Hover over the top right of any widget to open its menu. From there you can:

  • Export the widget's data for use elsewhere

  • Clone it to another Peak, share it with a teammate, or copy it to a different workspace in your store

Cloning lets you reuse a widget you've already set up instead of rebuilding it from scratch.

How do you edit a widget with Sherpa?

Every Peak has Sherpa built in. To change an existing widget, open Sherpa from inside the Peak and describe what you want in plain language. For example: "Change this to last click attribution" or "Break this out by collection." Sherpa updates the widget in place, so you don't have to redo the filters or formatting yourself.
