A Peak is a custom dashboard you build in ProfitPeak by describing what you want in plain English. Sherpa, ProfitPeak's built-in AI analyst, creates the charts and tables, and you pin them into a view that fits the way your team works. There's no SQL, no ticket, and no risk to your default dashboards
Why build your own Peak?
Sooner or later, every brand asks some version of this question: "Can I see this data the way I actually think about my business, not the way the platform shows it by default?"
The default Peak you land on at login works like a morning briefing. It's a big-picture view of revenue, profit, ad efficiency, and inventory that suits almost anyone. But a merchandiser tracking Google brand vs. non-brand spend down to the dollar needs something more specific. So does a CFO watching margin by product line.
Custom Peaks solve that in two ways.
Everyone works from the same numbers. Marketing, finance, buying, and performance teams all look at the same data, each through their own lens. Nobody has to reconcile five spreadsheets before the Monday meeting.
You skip the reporting backlog. You don't have to wait for an analyst or engineer to build a custom report. Anyone on the team can ask for what they need in plain English and have it live within minutes.
What are Peaks, widgets, and workspaces?
A few pieces work together. Here's what each one means:
Term | What it means |
Peak | A saved dashboard view. Everyone gets a default Peak, and you can build as many custom ones as you need. |
Sherpa | ProfitPeak's built-in AI analyst. It works directly on your own finance, product, inventory, and marketing data, and you talk to it in plain English. |
Widget | A single chart, table, or metric block that Sherpa builds from a prompt. For example, "Show me Google paid, split brand vs. non-brand." |
Workspace | A separate space that holds your custom Peaks and widgets, kept apart from the default view. |
The most important thing to know: building a Peak never changes your default views. You're always working in a separate space, so you can't break anything. Once a view proves useful, you can choose to give it a more prominent spot.
How to build a Peak
1. Open Sherpa where your question lives
Sherpa is built into every core module, such as Attribution Vertex and Product Intelligence, and also has its own space in the top left of ProfitPeak. You can also start from a blank dashboard. Open it wherever makes sense for what you're asking.
2. Ask for what you want in plain language
Describe the view the way you'd explain it to a colleague. Here are some prompts from real merchant requests:
"Split Google Ads into brand vs. non-brand traffic."
"Build a bundle analysis. What do customers who buy Product X also buy?"
"Add a column showing incoming stock next to sell-through."
3. Let Sherpa build the widget
The widget uses your live data, so the numbers match every other view in ProfitPeak. It isn't a mock-up.
4. Choose or create a Peak to hold it
Add the widget to an existing custom Peak, or create a new one. Name it after who will use it, like "CFO Margin View," "Buying Team Stock Watch," or "Performance: Google Ads." This keeps each team's view easy to find without cluttering anyone else's.
5. Adjust it in conversation
If the first version isn't quite right, for example the wrong attribution model or date range, you don't have to rebuild it. Tell Sherpa what to change and it updates the widget in place.
6. Pin it once it's right
When the widget shows what you need, pin it with the three dots menu or drag it into place. Now it's a locked, trusted view. You check it once, and it won't need to be rebuilt or re-checked every time someone opens it.
7. Share it, or keep it to yourself
When a Peak is dialed in, you can share it across your team or keep it private. Different people can build different views of the same data. Marketing can see campaigns, finance can see margin, and buying can see stock, all from one shared source.
What should you build first?
Start with the report your team rebuilds most often by hand. That's usually a weekly trading summary, a stock watch list, or a channel breakdown. Turning it into a Peak saves time every week from then on. To have it arrive automatically, schedule the Sherpa prompt as a recurring email report (see Chatting with Sherpa).
Short description: Build dashboards that match how your team works, just by asking in plain English.
Long description: Peaks are custom dashboards in ProfitPeak, built through Sherpa without SQL or reporting tickets. Learn how to create widgets, organize them into Peaks for each team, and lock in trusted views everyone can work from.
